A loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 1 and a FRT flanked neomycin positive selection gene and a loxP site were inserted downstream of exon 1 by homologous recombination. Recombinase mediated recombination removed the neo cassette and exon 1. Western blot analysis confirmed absence of protein. (J:224701)
