A floxed neo cassette replaced 600 bp of the promoter region, up to the first 25 bp of exon 1 (+43653-44287), via homologous recombination. Cre mediated recombination removed the neo cassette. Quantitative RT-PCR confirmed the absence of expression in peripheral blood and fetal liver from homozygous mice. (J:216256)
