This transgene consists of the CAG promoter , a loxP flanked EGFP reporter gene, the human papillomavirus 16 (HPV-16) E6 and E7 genes, an IRES, and the luciferase gene. In the absence of Cre recombinase, the EGFP is expressed and prevents the expression of HPV-16 and luciferase. When the floxed EGFP is removed via Cre-mediated recombination, expression of HPV and luciferase are induced. (J:210533)
