The human PLA2G2A (sPLA2) gene is expressed under the control of a 1.7 kB human ITGAM (CD11b) promoter. Two transgenic mouse lines were successfully generated. By Northern blot analysis, line 1 mice show expression in liver, spleen, lung, and isolated primary macrophages. Line 2 mice show a similar expression pattern, but at lower levels. Line 1 was expanded and studied further. (J:136941)
