A genomic fragment including all of exons 1 and 2 was replaced with a neo cassette via homologous recombination. Northern and western blot analysis confirmed the absence of mRNA and protein expression in homozygous mice. Expression of F13a1 was greatly reduced compared to wild-type in homozygous mice. (J:222849)
