The Brainbow 1.0L cassette is expressed under the control of the human Ubiquitin-C promoter. Before Cre activity, cells express dTomato in the absence of CFP and YFP. Upon Cre activity, cells lose dTomato expression and stochastically acquire YFP (choice 1) or CFP (choice 2). This choice is irreversable and is transmitted to the cells progeny. (J:202493)
