Exon 2 has been deleted by Cre recombinase, leaving a single loxP site. A frt-flanked neomycin resistance cassette that was in intron 1, downstream of the 5' loxP site, also has been deleted. Western blot analysis confirmed the absence of encoded protein in the thymus, spleen and testis of homozygous mutant mice. (J:220670)
