The targeting construct introduced a frt site-flanked neomycin resistance cassette (neor) in the first intron and loxP sites upstream of the selection cassette and downstream of exon 2. The selection cassette can be deleted by Flp recombinase, and both neor and exon 2 by Cre recombinase. (J:220670)
