Exon 2 was replaced with one in which mutations (AGGTAT to CACTAC) altered the 5' splice site abolishing production of the type 2c isoform. Cre-mediated recombination removed the floxed neomycin resistance cassette inserted downstream of the modified exon 2. (J:215404)
