Exon 2 was floxed and a floxed neo cassette was inserted via homologous recombination. Cre mediated recombination removed exon 2 and the neo cassette. Molecular analyses confirmed the absence of mRNA and protein in both mouse embryonic fibroblasts (MEFs) and testis extracts from homozygous mutant mice. (J:213588)
