A loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 6. A floxed noemycin resistance cassette was inserted upstream of exon 2. Cre-mediated recombination removed the exons 2 through 6 floxed. The resulting protein lacks the motor domain encoded by exons 2 through 8. (J:213171)
