A 3.1kb fragment from the 3' end of a rat cDNA was fused to an EGFP followed by a polyadenylation signal. This was then fused to an EcoRI site in exon 8 of the mouse gene. A floxed neomycin cassette was inserted as well but subsequently excised from properly targeted mice. (J:133999)
