A targeting vector was designed to insert a loxP site upstream of exon 2 followed by a frt-flanked neomycin resistance (neo) cassette, and a second loxP site downstream of exon 3 of the gene. FLP mediated recombination removed the FRT-flanked neo cassette leaving exons 2 through 3 floxed. (J:101977)
