Two targeting vectors harboring neomycin- and hygromycin-resistance expression cassettes were introduced upstream and downstream, respectively, of the micro-RNA cluster. This was achieved through two independent homologous recombination events. The whole cluster was then deleted by cre mediated excision. (J:216177)
