A Myc epitope tag, an IRES lacZ expression cassette and an FRT flanked PGK-neo were inserted downstream of the single exon. LoxP sites were inserted to flank the entire modified gene. The entire gene as well as the inserted expression cassette were subsequently excised using cre recombinase. (J:208266)
