A region encompassing the 5' UTR through intron 2 was replaced with a construct containing CAG-loxP-stop-loxP-Glra3 cDNA (rat, long variant with a P185L substitution and containing exon 8a) and human HPRT promoter and exons 1 and 2. The CAG-Glra3 and Hprt sequences are expressed in opposite directions. The Glra3 sequence also has an HA tag. (J:207981)
