Nucleotide substitutions in exon 5 were introduced by homologous recombination to alter codon 124 from one encoding cysteine to encoding serine (Cys124Ser). An adjacent loxP-flanked neomycin selection cassette that was inserted into intron 5 was removed by cre-mediated recombination. (J:214411)
