A targeting vector was designed to insert a loxP site upstream of exon 2 followed by a second loxP site followed by a frt-flanked neomycin resistance (neo) cassette downstream of exon 2 of the gene. Flp-mediated recombination removed the neo cassette leaving exon 2 floxed. (J:196291)
