A targeting vector was designed to insert a loxP site upstream of exon 21, and a frt-flanked neomycin resistance (neo) cassette, followed by a second loxP site, downstream of exon 21. Also, splice site 4, upstream of exon 21, was mutated to a canonical splice acceptor sequence. (J:101977)
