This transgene consists of a fragment of human FUS 1-359 cDNA including 9 bp of 5'-UTR under the control of the Thy1 promoter. This FUS variant is predominantly cytoplasmic as it lacks the nuclear localization signal, highly aggregate-prone, and lacks a region responsible for RNA recognition and binding. Western blot confirmed expression in neural tissues. (J:203550)
