A cre/ERT2 fusion sequence was put under the control of Pomc regulatory elements in a transgenic construct. Microinjection of the construct resulted in the generation of founder lines which were screened by crosses to reporter mice and treating progeny with tamoxifen to induce cre recombination. (J:207704)
