A cre/ERT2 open reading frame and Frt-flanked neomycin cassette replaced exon 1 of the Cspg4 (NG2) locus following homologous recombination in E14.1 ES cells. The neo cassette was deleted by crossing mice to flp expressing mice. No Cspg4 protein is detected in brain lysates. (J:209130)
