The MT-C retrotransposon element in intron 6 was deleted via TALEN mediated recombination. This abolishes expression of an oocyte specific isoform (Dicer1O) without altering expression of the somatic isoform (Dicer1S). The deletion is located at chr12:104,727,100-104,727,783 (m38/mm10). (J:203415)
