A loxP site and an FRT flanked neo cassette were inserted upstream of the microRNA region and a loxP site was inserted downstream of the region. Recombinase mediated recombination removed the neo cassette and the microRNA coding region. Expression of Mir128 was reduced by 20% in the brain of homozygous mice. (J:205260)
