A neomycin resistance cassette with a 5' loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 2. An additional loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 2. Cre-mediated recombination removed the selection cassette and exon 2. Real-time quantitative PCR confirmed the absence of transcript expression in mouse embryonic fibroblasts. (J:207884)
