The final exon was flanked by a loxP site and an FRT-flanked neomycin resistance cassette with a 3' loxP site. Cre-mediated recombination removed the selection cassette and final exon. Western blot analysis confirmed the absence of protein expression in E12.5 embryos. (J:206541)
