The targeting construct inserted into the locus a wild-type human cDNA preceded by a splice acceptor and floxed neomycin resistance cassette and followed by a polyadenylation sequence. Cre-mediated recombination removed the resistance cassette and allowed for expression of the human cDNA. (J:205418)
