Adig^{tm1.1(KOMP)Vlcg}

Cre-mediated excision of the parental Adigtm1(KOMP)Vlcg allele resulted in the removal of the neomycin selection cassette and critical exon(s) leaving behind the inserted lacZ reporter sequence. RT-PCR analysis revealed absence of mRNA expression in inguinal and epididymal white adipose tissue (WAT) and brown adipose tissue (BAT) as well as in liver and skeletal muscle tissue of homozygous mutant mice, thus confirming deletion of parts of exons 1 and 2.
