A self-excising neomycin resistance cassette replaced most of exons 1 through 8, econding the first six SCR domains of isoform Cr1. The remaining sequence fuses the Cr2 promoter, transcription start site and the first coding sequence (with the signal sequence) to the Cr2-specific C-terminal exons. The final allele lack the neomycin resistance cassette. Western blot analysis confirmed the absence of Cr1 protein expression in spleen lysate. Expression of Cr2 is maintained. (J:205353)
