The gene trap cassette is flanked with FRT, F3, loxP and lox511 sites. The sites are oriented to allow for inversion of the gene trap cassette. The gene trap construct inserted into intron 1. Flp mediated recombination inverted the trap cassette allowing for expression of the endogenous gene and removing one FRT and one F3 site. (J:200901)
