Exon 6 is replaced with an FRT-flanked neomycin resistance cassette with a 5' loxP site and a modified exon 6 in which nucleotide substitutions (AAA to AGG) result in the amino acid substitution of arginine for lysine at position 243 (K243R). Flp-mediated recombination removed the neomycin resistance cassette. (J:201641)
