A Venus gene was inserted in frame with the coding sequence in exon 3 resulting in a fusion product. Flp-mediated recombination removed the FRT-flanked neomycin resistance cassette inserted downstream of the reporter gene. Western blot analysis confirmed normal protein expression levels of the fusion protein in heterozygous mice. (J:204475)
