An FRT flanked neo selection cassette followed by a loxP site was inserted in intron 6. A second loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 3. The selection cassette was excised from properly targeted mice by expression of flp recombinase. This left exons 3 through 6 flanked by loxP sites. (J:198427)
