Mice carrying a conditional Trp53 allele lacking the AS (Alternative Splicing) exon were crossed to Tg(Pgk1-cre)1Lni mice to excise the stop cassette. The resultant allele produces mRNA from which only Trp53 proteins with the 'classical' C terminal domain can be synthesized. (J:199308)
