A loxP511site and loxP site were inserted upstream of exon 2 and an FRT flanked neo cassette, loxP site and loxP2722 site were inserted downstream of exon 3 via homologous recombination. Recombinase mediated recombination removed the neo cassette and exons 2 and 3, leaving behind loxP511, loxP, and loxP2722 sites. This allele is designed to permit recombination mediated cassette exchange. (J:199462)
