Recombineering was used to modify a BAC (RP23-357E17) containing the Krt17 gene. An IRES-cre/ERT2 cassette and an FRT-flanked neo selection marker were inserted into the 3' UTR of Krt17. Flippase was used to remove the neo marker and the purified construct was injected into fertilized oocytes. Two founders (1F3 and 1F4) were positive for the transgene. (J:199315)
