An FRT flanked neomycin resistance cassette followed by a loxP site was inserted in intron 3 and a second loxP site was inserted following exon 4. The neo selection cassette was subsequently removed from properly targeted mice by crossing to mice ubiquitously expressing flp recombinase. (J:202810)
