Bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC) library (CHORI) was used to identify a BAC (#RP23-129A21) containing the entire mouse pro-melanin-concentrating hormone (Pmch) gene. This BAC was generated to contain a cre coding sequence downstream from the start codon, and was microinjected into fertilized C57BL/6J oocytes. (J:202805)
