A membrane associated EGFP (GFP-F) and self-excising neomycin resistance cassette replaced the endogenous 18 amino acid signal sequence in exon 1. The final allele lacks the neomycin resistance cassette. RT-PCR confirmed the absence of transcript expression in the brain, olfactory bulb and vomeronasal organ. (J:198564)
