A mouse Il21 cDNA was placed under the control of the H2-Kb promoter and the Ig enhancer. Thirty-one independent founder lines were produced. Two groups were identified based on length of survival. The original paper analysed mice from founder lines surviving longer than three weeks. (J:126318)
