A targeting vector, obtained from EUCOMM, containing a FRT site flanked beta-geo cassette and a loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 3. A second loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 3. ES cells were transiently transfected with a FLP recombinase vector to remove the selection cassette. (J:188485)
