The cre recombinase open reading frame was inserted into exon 1 at the translation initiation codon of the murine Rax gene in a BAC (RP24-82D21), using recombineering methods. The modified BAC was purified and used for pronuclear injection. Three founders were produced and one was chosen for further analysis. (J:198990)
