A loxP site was inserted upstream of the coding exon. An FRT-flanked neomycin resistance cassette with a 5' loxP site was inserted downstream of the coding exon. Flp-mediated recombination removed the neo cassette. Cre-mediated recombination removed the coding sequence. qRT-PCR confirmed the absence of transcript expression in uterus tissue. (J:197569)
