Strain MOLF/EiJ exhibits a polymorphism such that the protein product contains 14 zinc fingers compared to the 11, 12, or 13 observed in the protein product of other strains as well as a unique pattern of amino acid substitutions in the 9th and 12th amino acid residues following the second Cys residue of the individual Zinc fingers.
