Recombineering methods were used to generate a targeting construct (containing cre recombinase fused to the SV40 polyadenylation signal with a an frt-flanked Pgk-neo cassette downstream) and subsequently modify a BAC (RP23-248K14) containing the Clec9a gene. The neo marker was removed with Flp recombinase. The modified BAC was purified and used for pronuclear injection to produce transgenic animals. Founder information is not available. (J:199355)
