An FRT-flanked neomycin (neo) resistance cassette with a 5' loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 8. An additional loxP site was inserted into the 3' UTR in exon 9. Flp-mediated recombination removed the neo cassette and left the coding sequence in exon 8 and 9 floxed. (J:198847)
