A neomycin resistance cassette replaced exon 2. RT-PCR confirmed expression of two novel transcripts: a short one splicing exon 1 to 3 and a long one using the neo cassette as a new exon 2. Western blot analysis with antibodies to the C-terminus confirmed expression of a normal sized protein, putatively translated from the long splice variant. (J:198086)
