A loxP site was inserted upstream of the first coding exon. An FRT-flanked neomycin resistance cassette with a 5' loxP site was inserted downstream of the first coding sequence. FLP-mediated recombination removed the neomycin resistance cassette and leave the first coding exon floxed. (J:197966)
