An FRT-flanked neomycin resistance cassette with a 3' loxP site was inserted upstream of the coding sequence. An additional loxP site was inserted 1.5 kb downstream of the translation initiation site. Flp-mediated recombination removed the neomycin resistance cassette and left a portion of the coding sequence floxed. (J:196017)
