The targeting construct introduced a floxed STOP cassette followed by an mCherry and the ubiquitylation domains of human CDT1 (amino acids 30 to 120) fusion. Cre-mediated recombination removed the STOP cassette. This fluorescent ubiquitylation-based cell cycle indicator accumulates in the nuclei during G1 phase of the cell cycle. (J:196795)
